uminobra is an import-word used to encompass the clothing-line developed by Japanese cartoonist Chica Umino. Literally, the root "umino" (海の) of the pen-name roughly translates to "by the sea" which can be seen as an obvious inspiration to the lightweight, translucent blue designs seen across most of her clothing line. Oddly, the clothing is marketed entirely to high-end teddy-bear enthusiasts willing to pay a premium for designer clothing for their prized plushes. That's just strange, hmm?
