Welp, erectile I released the beta today (technically “yesterday”). It’s going to be a closed beta though because there are several things that I want to finish up before releasing it publicly (hopefully I can get those done today). One of my beta-testers managed to find like 4 bugs in the first 15 minutes!
This is why we have betas I guess. They were small bugs to fix, (most were under 1 minute fixes) and they came from small things like the migration from the original hidden URL to a more public URL. Only one of these bugs is lingering… apparently one of the entire sub-systems doesn’t want to work in Safari just now! This kinda caught me off guard, and it’s going to be hard to debug without a Mac. I might have to get a Mac Mini or something… this happens to me a lot where I need other OSes. I think I’m also going to set up one of my extra boxes to sit around running Knoppix. Knoppix is a Linux distro that you don’t have to install… it just runs from a CD, so you don’t have to worry about all of the problems of dual-booting.

Anyway, the site is coming along… I hope to announce it going public pretty soon. I promised myself that I’m not going to shave until it’s ready to go public!
